Plain-language information about what this website collects and why.

Information collected

The campaign collects information you submit through the contact form, such as your name, email, optional phone and postal code, topic, message, and optional campaign-interest choices. For newsletter subscriptions, it stores your email, optional name, subscription status, signup and confirmation dates, and the source of your permission. Rate-limiting records contain a one-way hash of the relevant address or IP identifier, not the raw IP address.

Private team accounts store a name, email, role and securely hashed password. Security and publishing records include account actions, timestamps, post authorship and email delivery status. Server and email-provider logs may also contain technical connection and delivery information.

How information is used

Information is used to respond to your message and, only where you choose, coordinate volunteering, lawn signs, or campaign updates. It is not sold. Designated account owners can manage subscribers and export campaign contact records. Delegated editors can prepare and send newsletters; the administration screens do not give editors subscriber lists or contact exports.

The configured email provider processes recipient addresses and message content to deliver email. Access to hosting, backups and provider accounts is limited to those operating these services for the campaign.

Newsletters and the public blog

Public newsletter signup requires confirmation through a link sent to your email. Selecting updates on the contact form requests that separate confirmation; it does not automatically subscribe you. An account owner may also add someone who has already expressly requested newsletters and record that permission.

Each newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. We record whether a message was queued, accepted by the email provider, failed, or cancelled. Provider acceptance does not guarantee delivery to your inbox. The newsletter system does not use tracking pixels or measure individual opens or link clicks.

Newsletters can also be published as public blog posts. Subscriber names and email addresses are not published in those posts.

Your choices

Campaign updates, volunteering and lawn-sign requests are separate, optional choices. You can read the blog without subscribing. Unsubscribing stops future newsletters and cancels messages still waiting in the queue; a message already being transmitted may still arrive.

Unsubscribed and rejected addresses remain on a suppression list so they are not accidentally added again. A new signup and email confirmation are needed to reactivate a suppressed address. You may ask the campaign to access, correct or delete your information, subject to applicable record-keeping requirements.

Security and retention

Records are stored in an access-controlled campaign database. Team access can be revoked, and password changes invalidate previous sessions. Session cookies support login and form security; they are not used for advertising.

The campaign should keep contact records, consent evidence, suppression records, delivery logs and backups only as long as needed for their purpose and applicable requirements. Requests for deletion need to include these related records and backups, not only the active mailing list. No website or email service can guarantee absolute security.

Questions or requests

Use the campaign contact form and select “Other” to ask a privacy question or request access, correction, or deletion.
